This summer, Date will also release a compilation album featuring sessions between Opitope and artists including Christophe Charles, Taylor Deupree, Carl Stone among others, from his own imprint 'Kualauk Table.'

Date's meeting with Tadahito Ichinoseki came about in a hospital room. A prominent Japanese contemporary poet, Tadahito Ichinoseki, who suffers from malignant lymphoma, is also Date's patient. Exchanging material, the two began collaborating and 'Gensho no Tabi' is a result of these collaborations. They are currently working on a full length album together.
